WHO WE ARE

The Survivors Justice Center is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) law firm providing victims of sexual violence with the legal services and support they need to hold their perpetrators accountable.

The Justice Gap

After years of practicing in the criminal courts, Elic Anbar followed his passion and founded Survivors Justice Center with a mission of helping those survivors of sexual violence who were falling through the cracks of the justice system. With only 7 out of 1,000 sexual assault cases brought to criminal trial, and with the high costs of a civil court resolution, placing the blame on perpetrators remains out of reach for most survivors. The assignment of accountability is a critical step in the healing process that is being denied to thousands of victims each year.

Survivors Justice Center was formed to fill the justice gap. We understood that a not-for-profit law firm could eliminate the barriers to legal justice. We could provide our clients with a way to obtain the justice they deserve. Our unique approach is to use the process of the civil courts to hold the perpetrator accountable, while creating a safe nurturing environment, providing free legal services and working collaboratively with other not for profit organizations to meet the individual needs of our clients, such as counseling, shelter and support.

We encourage you to reach out to learn more about how you can get involved as we help in the healing process of survivors.

Through other not-for-profit organizations we provide our clients with access to therapeutic, support, and social services.

Money should never be a barrier to justice.

Help us bring hope to survivors of sexual violence.
